Description:
Many data sets, videotapes, and other information collected in educational research contain information that could harm the participants if released. We shall discuss laws that apply to educational data and informed consent, some possible consequences of improperly disclosing data, and some statistical methods that can be used to safeguard confidential information. The 40-minute presentation will be followed by a question/discussion session with the audience.
